Oscar nominations 2022: Lady Gaga fans outraged as House of Gucci star snubbed for best actress nod

Lady Gaga fans are up in arms after the singer and House of Gucci star was majorly snubbed at the 2022 Oscars nominations.
House of Gucci was in total nominated for just one award, makeup and hairstyling, despite Gaga, 35, being a favourite for the best actress nomination for her role as Patrizia Reggiani.
It comes after she received plenty of nods at other awards ceremonies, including the SAG Awards, which is usually a predictor of how the Oscar nominations will go down.
One fan said: ‘Lady Gaga is the only leading actress to be nominated at the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, Critics Choice, BAFTA this year. won a trifecta so HOW THE F**K?!?!?!’
‘Lady Gaga was the only person to get all 4 precursor nominations but not the Oscar,’ another said.
One more said: ‘I’m so disappointed but this does not take away the fact that Lady Gaga gave an outstanding performance for House of Gucci, even if the Academy cannot see it.’
Instead, after being snubbed at the SAG Awards and the Baftas, Kristen Stewart has been nominated in the leading actress category for Spencer.
She’ll be up against Jessica Chastain for The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Olivia Colman for The Lost Daughter, Penelope Cruz for Parallel Mothers, and Nicole Kidman for Being The Ricardos.

House Of Gucci charts the married life of Patrizia (played by Gaga) and her husband Maurizio Gucci (played by Driver), both of whom were real. Reggiani is in fact still alive at the age of 72.
