James Ellsworth is one individual who successfully made his mark in WWE. During his WWE career, he squared off against some of the top WWE stars. But unfortunately for him, he did not get his moment with Brock Lesnar.

Brock Lesnar is someone with whom everyone would like to work with. Even though he causes destruction in the ring, we have also heard superstars talking about his friendly nature outside the ring.

Recently, in an exclusive interview with Ishan Chavan of EssentiallySports, James Ellsworth talked about a scrapped Royal Rumble spot with the Beast Incarnate.

Addressing the time prior to the 2017 Men’s Royal Rumble Match, Ellsworth said, “When I first got there, they told me I might be doing something in the Royal Rumble with Brock Lesnar. And I was like, ‘Whoa, whoa, cool.’”

“And they’re like, ‘No, no, we are going do it with Braun [Braun Strowman] instead’. I was like, ‘Okay, that makes more sense because him and I have a history together,’” he added.

James Ellsworth entered the 2017 Men’s Royal Rumble Match at number 11. But his night ended disappointingly as he got lasted in the match for just 15 seconds.

The former WWE superstar looked reluctant to get in the ring as Braun Strowman was waiting for him inside the ring. But after Dean Ambrose came out, he tricked Ellsworth into entering the ring only to get attacked by The Monster Among Men.

As for Brock Lesnar, he entered the match at number 26. The Beast Incarnate eliminated three men before getting eliminated by Goldberg.
