Lily James appears to speak about explosive Dominic West photos for the first time: ‘It was a lot’

Lily James has appeared to address the photos of her and married co-star Dominic West appearing to kiss in 2020 for the first time.
The Pam and Tommy actress, 32, and her The Pursuit Of Love co-star had been photographed riding an electric scooter together in Rome in October 2020 before stopping at a cafe, where Dominic, 52, appeared to lean in close to Lily’s face.
The pictures went viral and Dominic and his wife, Catherine FitzGerald, later addressed the paparazzi outside their London home by sharing a kiss and placing a handwritten cardboard sign outside their house reading: ‘Our marriage is strong and we’re very much still together. Thank you. Catherine and Dominic.’
Lily has never spoken out about the controversy before, but appeared to allude to the drama in a new interview with Rolling Stone.
Speaking about the similarities between herself and Pamela Anderson, who Lily portrays in the Hulu series, the journalist noted that ‘she’d even had a brush with the gossip rags.’
Lily responded: ‘Women in the public eye at some point experience some sort of difficult situation in their relationship between privacy and your life being in the tabloids.’

She added: ‘It was a lot. It’s a story as old as time.’
Pam and Tommy follows Pamela and Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee., played by Sebastian Stan, in the wake of their sex tape being stolen and leaked.

The pair underwent a stunning transformation to take on the roles, with Lily spending around four hours a day in hair and make-up for the transformation.
She was required to wear prosthetics to channel the face and body of the Baywatch icon and stunned the world when the first photos of her in costume were released.
