Don’t Have a Player 2 – Nintendo’s Creative Valentine’s Day Offering Overwhelms Fans

Nintendo has witnessed a great year so far. While Pokemon Legends: Arceus is performing phenomenally in sales, the company is already preparing for yet another Switch exclusive next month. And it’s none other than Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

While the game is in trend, thanks to some creatively amazing strategies by Nintendo, the publisher just came up with yet another interesting announcement. As Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, Nintendo also decided to do something sweet for the fans to celebrate the season of love.

Nintendo: fans have mixed feelings about Valentine’s Day-themed cards

For the uninitiated, Kirby and the Forgotten Land is an upcoming Nintendo title, which is developed by HAL Laboratory. It’s going to be the seventeenth overall installment in the Kirby franchise. However, it will be the first 3D game in the series so far, when not taking the spin-offs into account.

Now coming onto Nintendo’s Valentine’s Day-themed initiative, it posted an interesting tweet on its main account recently. While revealing four different cards based on Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Nintendo wanted the fans to choose one of them for their loved ones. The cards were meant to be for two players.

Simply put, Nintendo wanted the fans to offer or dedicate one card to their partners who would join them in the game.

However, Valentine’s Day-themed tweet turned out to be a little too much for some users. Because many of them, sadly, didn’t have a partner as they were single. Eventually, they expressed their feelings of loneliness to Nintendo. “I don’t have a…..player 2,” wrote one fan.

I don’t have a…..player 2

Meanwhile, other Twitter users showed their enthusiasm for this Valentine’s Day-based initiative. While some of them selected their favorite cards to share with their partners, others expressed their anticipation of the game itself. Simply because they are eager to play it as soon as it’s out worldwide.

Thanks Nintendo, very cool pic.twitter.com/UiFY7XiAnO

We would like to know and see how much abilities player 2 has in this game; or if they will be more if a limited assist character. Really loved the way it was done in Kirby Star Allies where player two (and up) were the core enemies you fought.

Gotta be one of the most underrated super heroes on nintendo ever
