Spice Girls’ Geri Horner writes new kids’ books with hopes they’ll turn into TV series after reunion is cancelled
AFTER the SPICE GIRLS tour was quietly shelved, its stars have been working out how to keep themselves busy.
And I can reveal Geri Horner already has grand plans — she is plotting a new kids’ book series which she is hoping will be turned into a TV show.

And the idea has got the thumbs up from her son Monty, five, and daughter Bluebell, 15.
An insider said: “After the Spice Girls reunion was binned Geri has thrown herself into her new book series so she has something to focus on.
“She has been putting pen to paper over the past few months for a new concept she’s come up with called Falcon Queen Rules.
“Her first series of children’s books about her character Ugenia Lavender in 2008 went down a storm and now Geri is giving it a go all over again.
“She also wants to see if she could make the books into a TV show.
“That type of project is something she would love to be able to add to her CV and she really thinks Falcon Queen Rules could be a hit.

“She has run her ideas for the books past Bluebell and Monty and it’s got the green light from them.
“Geri can’t wait to get the books published and out there for all of her fans.”
Her books are the most Spice Girls fans will be getting from Ginger, after the group’s reunion plans were put on ice.
I confirmed last week that the reunion tour, along with a planned animated film, had been cast aside after it appeared to be on the cards but the pandemic killed the momentum.
Geri, Mel C, Mel B and Emma Bunton, had all agreed they wanted to get back out on the road.
And the film was set to include Victoria Beckham, who had previously refused to be any part of the reunion.
Their most recent come- back in 2019 saw them play to more than 700,000 fans and helped them pocket £80million.
I’m sure that next reunion will soon be back on the table when the cash starts to run out.
CELESTE’S KEY PAIRING
SOFIANE PAMART has revolutionised French music and now he is making a beeline for the British scene by teaming up with Celeste.
The acclaimed pianist has become the toast of French rap music due to his surprising collaborations and is now in talks to work with the Brit Award winner.

In an exclusive chat, he told me: “I met her at an event for Cartier and I fell in love with her voice and her vibe. I hope we will do something together.
“We have spoken about it and I think she is coming to see one of my gigs and I want to see her too. I know at some point we will do something together.
“I want to bring together something very traditional and very modern.”
Sofiane, who has collaborated with several French rappers including Vald, Arno and Dinos, released his album Letter on Friday.
He must have racked up a hefty bill while making it, as he did so while on a lengthy holiday.
He said: “For five months I was travelling in six countries across Asia and I had a piano everywhere I went. Each time I had a new idea I was recording it.
“Then I went to a special studio in Thailand to record it all properly.”

It’s the start of a busy year for Mabel, who is preparing to release her second album.
She will also play the new Live Stage at WE ARE FSTVL at Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Upminster, East London, on August 6 and 7.

CHERYL TWEEDY may have called time on life in the spotlight but that doesn’t mean she’s having an easy time.
The former Girls Aloud singer has her hands full with her son Bear, four, who has worked out a way to miss class.
Dad Liam Payne explained: “Bear went to school the other day and has worked out if he says he has Covid he wouldn’t be able to go.
“He got as far as telling the teacher he had the virus and would spread it if he stayed there.”
Laughing, Liam added in a now deleted Instagram live session: “I don’t know if I should be impressed. It’s more than my half-hearted cough when I was younger. He got a telling off.
“Maybe he gets it from me. Maybe I am the bad parent.”
He’ll be a handful.
JAMES’ PAIN ON NEW LP
THE bitter end of a relationship has provided the inspiration for James Bay’s new album – but fortunately it’s not about his current girlfriend Lucy Smith, who he has been dating for more than ten years.
The singer-songwriter is gearing up to release his so far untitled third record and has revealed that a bust-up with someone he used to be close to spurred him on to write a string of tunes.

James said: “There are a few songs on this album which centre around this thing, this stuff that happened.
“I disagreed with someone who I had a long-standing relationship with and it upset me, I suppose. I wrote a lot of songs and I realised how many of them, in hindsight, were about this thing.”
One track on the album is called We Used To Shine.
James said on stage in London last week: “I started writing an album years ago now.
“The pandemic officially started in March 2020 and I had just finished it, then everything shut.
“I didn’t know what to do with it and we waited and waited.
“Then I wrote loads of new songs and half of those kicked off some of the old songs which were on the 2020 album. But I’ve wound up with an album which I think I love.”

ROMEO BECKHAM is living up to his first name and managing to keep his romance with model Mia Regan thriving even though they are often on different continents.
The couple have been dating since May 2019 and despite the pandemic keeping them apart for months – with Romeo playing pro soccer in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Mia working in London – they say they are stronger than ever.

When asked in a now-deleted Instagram live how they keep their romance alive, Mia revealed they are now together, but added the long distance between them can get “pretty difficult”.
She also told how Romeo was “over-protective” of his little sis Harper and said it was “nice” to see him looking out for her.
The youngest Beckham is already getting a taste for the VIP world she has been born into – I spotted her at the opening of EE’s The Green Planet AR Experience in Regent Street, London.
She was joined by Stella McCartney’’s daughter Reiley Willis.

The show in West Hollywood was the first time Lizzo has been spotted in public after posing naked on her Instagram account.
In the video, which racked up over 2.8million views, the singer encouraging her fans to embrace their looks.
Lizzo said: “If you love me . . . you love all of me. You don’t get to pick and choose.
“We should be unconditionally loving of one another, starting with being unconditionally loving to ourselves.
“Free yourself in love. You deserve it.”
