‘She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child’: Naomi Campbell pictured with her baby daughter for first time

Naomi Campbell has posed with her baby daughter for the first time since her arrival last year.

The supermodel, 52, announced in May 2021 that she had secretly welcomed a little girl and was ‘ready for a new chapter’ as a mum – and now she’s proudly shown her off on the cover of British Vogue’s March Issue.

While many details about Naomi’s daughter remain under wraps, including her name, the fashion queen told the publication: ‘She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child.’

The tot has largely been kept out of the spotlight, with Naomi admitting she can ‘count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her’.

‘But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine,’ she continued. ‘It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.’

Naomi also gave an insight into her daughter’s temperament, revealing that she’s the calmest of all little jet setters.

‘I’m lucky my little one loves to travel like me – no whimpering taking off or landing,’ she told British Vogue.

‘She’s a good girl: she sleeps very well, she hardly ever cries and I’m told she’s very alert for her age.

‘She’s just started waving, which is fun. She laughs a lot. She’s almost talking.

‘I think she might walk before she crawls. And she’s got six teeth already.’

This isn’t the first time Naomi has gushed about her mini-me. Speaking to BBC’s Hardtalk in September, the runway queen revealed: ‘I’m really lucky. I think I have a dream child. She is wonderful. She’s so very independent already. 

‘Very smart, alert. Sleeps 12 hours. A good girl.’ 

Naomi also revealed that she planned on ‘absolutely’ instilling her family values and will raise her daughter to be a strong, independent woman, adding, ‘right down to the hygiene part’.

Announcing her daughter’s surprise arrival, Naomi shared a cute photo of the newborn’s feet cradled in her hands but made sure to keep her face out of the picture. 

In the caption, she said: ‘A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honoured to have this gentle soul in my life. There are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love.’
