“You Bring Me LaJoie” – NASCAR Drivers Wish Fans for Valentine’s Day
February 14 marks the occasion of Valentine’s Day. This is a time for love and spending time with your significant others. In light of this, several NASCAR drivers banded together to send special messages to the fans. Many of the messages ranged from sweet to cheesy puns, and everyone definitely had fun.
The drivers involved were Ricky Stenhouse Jr, Michael McDowell, Bubba Wallace, and Cole Custer. Even drivers like Aric Almirola, Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney, and Corey LaJoie sent in messages. Finally, Denny Hamlin, Ty Dillon, and Martin Truex Jr closed the show.
Stenhouse Jr admitted that his Valentine made his heart ‘race’. McDowell was the first with the cheesy puns, with “Wheel you be my Valentine?“. Wallace picked up the mantle when he mentioned that his Valentine made his heart go ‘Bubba, Bubba’. Meanwhile, Cole Custer loved his Valentine with his ‘Cole’ heart.
What did the other NASCAR drivers say?
Almirola declared that his Valentine was a 10 out of 10, a play on his racing number. Meanwhile, Chase Elliott advised people to follow their heart and ‘chase’ their dreams. Ryan Blaney also delivered a slightly cheesy line, admitting that his Valentine was first in his book. On the other hand, Corey LaJoie quipped, “You bring me, LaJoie.”
Denny Hamlin admitted that his Valentine ‘revved’ his engine, probably a reference to his heart. Meanwhile, Dillon said, “Ty think I love you“. Finally, Martin Truex Jr said that his Valentine was his ‘Truex love‘. Although some of the quotes may have been cringe-inducing, no one can deny that the drivers had fun.
Such activities allow them to loosen up a little before they are back on the grind with the first race of the season, the Daytona 500. Last year, McDowell triumphed over everyone, but it will be a real battle to see who will be the next winner. Who do you think will take the crown this time around?
