Kyle Larson Admits Watching Tyler Reddick Makes Him Feel Like He’s “Watching Himself”
After Kyle Larson’s epic season in 2021 in which he won 10 races and the Cup championship, many, and for good reason, claimed there’s no one like him in NASCAR currently. However, that might not be the case because there’s one driver who reminds Kyle Larson of himself.
In a recent interview, the Hendrick driver pointed out to a fellow NASCAR driver, who he believes is set to have a breakthrough season.
“I think Tyler Reddick is going to have an amazing season,” Larson said. “I think he’s been the best car at all the tests, I think he showed last week at the Clash he’s really good.”
He continued, “I feel like when I watch him, I’m watching myself just because we’re both really aggressive and he seems to be even a little more aggressive and keep things in control better than I could back when I was running really hard in Ganassi equipment trying to run up front.”
“I feel like he’s the guy I look at this year that’s going to have the breakout season and winning a lot of races.”

Kyle Larson on pole for Daytona 500
As NASCAR head to Daytona to ‘seriously’ kick-off the 2022 season, Kyle Larson is set to start the new season in the same way he ended the last – from the top. This is because Larson won the pole position ahead of his teammate, Alex Bowman.
He will start at the front of the grid and hope to win the Great American Race on Sunday.

And while he’d undoubtedly have an aim to defend his title in the long run, Kyle Larson isn’t really focusing on that. Instead, the priority is unchanged.
Because for Larson; it’s about chasing races than chasing championships.
Especially now that he has in front of him, the Daytona 500, something he hasn’t won in his career yet.
