HBO’s Latest Update on the Widely Hyped The Last of Us Upset Fans – “Worse Than Waiting for GoT!”

HBO’s upcoming and one of the highly awaited TV shows, The Last of Us, is not coming this year at all. The news comes directly from none other than the chief of HBO Max.

During an interview with Deadline, the HBO head, Casey Bloys, revealed that the video game adaptation is not arriving in 2022. In fact, it won’t arrive until the beginning of 2023, to be precise.

The Last of Us TV series won’t release before 2023

The Last of Us is, without any doubt, one of the most awaited projects coming up in the future. Ever since it was revealed that Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game of Thrones) are part of it, fans became extremely curious.

While Pedro is playing the iconic character of Joel, Bella will portray the beloved role of Ellie in the HBO Max TV series.

Considering the fact that it’s one of the best gaming franchises to date, The Last of Us has become a trending topic across the gaming community. Especially those, who are ardent fans and want the show to release as soon as possible.

However, as per HBO chief Casey Bloys, the TV show won’t launch this year.

“It’s not going to air in 2022 — they are still shooting in Canada. I imagine you will see it in ’23,” he told Deadline.

Well, that’s the situation at the moment and there’s nothing one can do, except wait.

However, fans are not in the mood of waiting for an entire year. Most of them expected The Last of Us to arrive in 2022 but now it’s not going to happen.
