Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky actually won Dancing with the Stars and gave the pros a good run for their money

As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has proven himself to be one of the most courageous leaders in living memory, his epic triumph in the country’s Dancing With The Stars is blowing people around the world away.

From comedian and actor to leading his country through Europe’s biggest war since World War II, Zelensky’s talents clearly know no bounds.

In 2014, President Zelensky played the voice of Paddington Bear (the Ukrainian version), but a few years before that, in 2006, he won Ukraine’s version of Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing with the Stars.

In a video that was shared on Twitter on Sunday morning and swiftly spread across social media, President Zelensky is seen waltzing, performing the pase doble, and quickstep all across the ballroom, looking very much like a pro.

He’s seen with his dance partner Olena Shoptenko showing off his moves to classic songs like Elvis Presley’s Blue Suede Shoes and the Pink Panther theme song.

Before he was elected as President in 2019, Zelensky also created and starred in a popular Ukrainian satirical show about a history teacher who accidentally becomes the country’s president after one of his rants about political corruption is secretly filmed and goes viral.

The father of two has garnered support from across the world for his loyalty, strength and courage, showcased to the world despite the threats to his and his family’s lives amidst the illegal invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

With many already recognizing him as a hero, the compilation video has now shown a completely different, yet just as popular, side of him, displaying how natural he is on a dancefloor and in front of the cameras.

One fan commented: ‘Zelenskyy could ride a horse shirtless but Putin could never pull off a white striped suit with a matching fedora.’

Another added: ‘He can dance, he can act, he can lead a country, he can stand in defiance against Russian forces.

‘Not only is he incredibly talented, but he’s also one of the most courageous leaders on the planet.’

A third joked: ‘Proving today that he might just win Dancing With the Tsars too.’

One Twitter user added to President Zelensky’s growing list of talents, saying: ‘You think that’s impressive? Wait till you see Zelenskyy play the piano.’

Bravely displaying his leadership across social media, President Zelensky has shared his defiance to Russia’s invasion as he has refused to leave the country for his own safety and has taken up arms with his own soldiers.

He has regularly provided updates to the people of his country praising them for their heroism and declaring any reports that he has fled to be fake news.
