Jorge Masvidal, one of the biggest UFC superstars, has kept his personal life very private. However, his best friend turned bitter rival, Colby ‘Chaos’ Covington, was not too respectful of Masvidal’s privacy when he allegedly called out ‘Gamebred’ for cheating on his wife.

Covington suggested that Jorge Masvidal is still married to Maritza Masvidal, and offered she was the mother of Masvidal’s kids.

Why did Colby Covington share a picture of him and Jorge Masvidal’s rumored ex-wife Maritza Masvidal?

Colby Covington, on multiple occasions, called Masvidal his best friend. However, when Covington became the interim welterweight champion, their friendship fall apart.

According to Masvidal, it was because after winning the interim championship, ‘Chaos’ didn’t pay the agreed-upon fee to his coach. However, Covington dismissed it and claimed Masvidal was envious of his success and that was the reason for the fallout.

Due to their beef, ‘Chaos’ went after Masvidal, a PPV star, to perhaps set up a future matchup with him. Covington attacked ‘Gamebred’ personally and brought his wife and kids to get under Masvidal’s skin.

Thus, in the process of provoking Masvidal, Covington posted a picture with whom he claims to be Masvidal’s wife, Maritza Masvidal.

Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal have a heated exchange

The former ATT teammates trained with each other; they cornered each other and not only that; they hung out with each other outside the gym. When their friendship fell out, the two bashed each other any chance they got.

Things were no different at the UFC 272 press conference as the two got into a heated exchange.

Covington kept poking Masvidal for, allegedly, having to pay half of his paycheck to Maritza Masvidal. Meanwhile, the BMF champion targeted Covington for not getting the PPV points for UFC 272 bout.

Where is Maritza Masvidal now?

Colby Covington claimed that Jorge Masvidal doesn’t want people to know about Maritza Masvidal. In an interview with Brett Okamoto, Covington suggested that he lived at Maritza Masvidal’s coach, not Jorge Masvidal’s, as claimed by the latter.

Covington said, “I’m talking about his ex-wife, the mother of his children, Maritza, Maritza Collado; Maritza Masvidal, they’re still legally married… just ask him, why are you trying to delete Maritza from history? Why are you deleting her and wiping her away from the internet?”

Not much is known about Maritza Masvidal at this point, apart from Covington claiming her to be Jorge Masvidal’s legal wife.
