Ukrainian UFC Fighter Maryna Moroz Heartbreakingly Reveals the Impact of Russian Crisis on Her
UFC 272 prelims have been an exciting layup for the main card. With an incredible win in her fight, Maryna Moroz was in tears, reminiscing about her country and people and dealing with the overall pressure and nervousness during fight week.

Moroz, after securing her sixth submission victory, said, “Yeah, I think people forget about me because, before uh, I win fight, I have records uh year two to twenty, uh, but you know, you see Russian Instagram doesn’t posted me after my fight. He blocked me.”
“But after I give interview, he unblocked it but never posted me, only posted my opponent. It’s give me more energy for win this fight.”
UFC 272 proved to be an emotional night for Maryna Moroz
In the prelims, Maryna Moroz went toe to toe against Mariya Agapova and won the fight via second-round submission.
Moroz and Agapova began testing each other straight off the bat in the first round. With swift and fluid with her level changes and feints, Moroz kept her distance as Agapova kept her left hand ready to launch.
With a significant amount of time spent in clinches, Moroz finally leveraged her opponent’s weight to land her in a position to submit her. And as calculated as it was, the Ukrainian won the fight with an arm-triangle choke in the second round.
During her post-fight octagon interview with Joe Rogan, the Ukrainian got emotional amidst her home country’s ongoing conflict.
She was moved to tears reminiscing about her country and her family’s plight, wishing for better days while simultaneously showcasing words of strength.
