Anthony Joshua Willing to Fight Tyson Fury in a WWE-Style Match

Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury, once considered the most-awaited matchup in the heavyweight division, is now nowhere close to happening. Fury will defend his WBC heavyweight title against Dillian Whyte on April 23 at the Wembley Arena, the same spot where Joshua lost his heavyweight belts to Usyk.

Meanwhile, Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2 is still not official. Therefore, Joshua seems to be way behind Tyson Fury in the current conditions. But he has found a way to fight ‘The Gypsy King’ outside the boxing circle. Joshua hilariously advised Fury to rope in for a WWE-styled tag team clash, where AJ picked Dereck Chisora to be on his side.

In an exclusive chat with Behind The Gloves, Anthony Joshua said, “Good luck to him [Tyson Fury].”

“Me, Chisora, and one of his mates.”

Well, Tyson Fury already has his share of experience of appearing in the WWE, where he had outclassed Braun Strowman back in 2019. So, he might have an edge against AJ if they ever lock horns in WWE. But that idea is not relevant according to the current picture.

Tyson Fury looks favorable to vanquish Dillian Whyte on his next appearance unless we come across a massive upset. In that case, AJ cannot afford to lose again. One more defeat shall eradicate him from the current title ride, ending all hopes of a potential Fury vs AJ collision in the future. So, Anthony Joshua may have to focus solely on overcoming Usyk, and then aim at the other fights.

Anthony Joshua has lost his invincible aura

Once an undefeated knockout artist, AJ now has two losses in his career and he has lost to underdogs on both occasions. Joshua avenged his first loss against Andy Ruiz Jr. in an immediate rematch. He is planning to do the same against Oleksandr Usyk. However, Usyk is serving his home country Ukraine in a critical situation. He is unsure of returning to action anytime soon.

Therefore, AJ might have to aim at other opponents or he shall have to face a long time hiatus. Meanwhile, the heavyweight division is in full motion and will continue to push A-listed names to come to the foray. Unless AJ makes quick retribution, it will be hard for him to retain the top-tier holdings.
