‘We Call Him Twitter Fingers Now’- Kamaru Usman Has a New Name for Conor McGregor as He Calls Khabib Nurmagomedov ‘His Brother’

Kamaru Usman is one of the greatest fighters to ever grace the UFC’s octagon. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has proven his superiority repeatedly and has defeated some of the toughest contenders in the promotion. 

Usman is the current welterweight champion and has five title defenses under his belt. He is also the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world. 

In an interview with Club Shay Shay, Kamaru Usman spoke about fighting two of the biggest names in the MMA world. Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

He was asked if he would fight both of them. To that, the UFC welterweight champion said, “I would not fight Khabib. Khabib is like my brother. I see no interest in that. Conor, absolutely.” Usman said, “I gave him a chance. I gave him a chance, he was barking because that’s what he do now. He Tweet a lot.”

“We call him Twitter fingers now. He Tweet a lot,” said the Nigerian. Conor is known for his huge media presence and he does often use Twitter as a communication outlet.

Kamaru Usman says he is open to a fight against Conor McGregor.

In his interview with Club Shay Shay, Kamaru Usman spoke about an interaction he had with the former UFC double champion. He said, “before I fought [Jorge] Masvidal, he was tweeting a lot. I said, ‘Here’s your chance. If you pick up the phone right now and called the UFC, they ain’t going to say no to you to challenging for the belt. He was quiet.”

“So, would I fight Conor? The offer is there,” added Usman.

Conor McGregor has been away from fighting after his tragic injury at UFC 264, in his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier. The fighter is going to make his UFC return this year, and will most likely take one of his biggest rivals, Nate Diaz.
