Anthony Joshua Teases Fight Announcement – Frank Warren Names Opponent
Former champion Anthony Joshua is willing to step through the ropes quickly and has already teased his in-ring return. Having lost his heavyweight belts to Oleksandr Usyk in September 2021, Joshua has been brutally criticized by the fans for several months.
He was supposed to rematch Usyk for the lost titles, but those plans are off as ‘The Cat’ is in Ukraine. Therefore, Joshua may have to eye a different opponent for now.
As the heavyweight division is booming with top-tier contenders, the Brit champion shouldn’t struggle in picking his rival. ‘AJ‘ has seemingly done so as he posted a picture of his shredded physique on social media and wrote, “Announcement soon some.”

Anthony Joshua didn’t mention any name, but promoter Frank Warren has already hinted at a clash between ‘AJ’ and ‘Juggernaut’ Joe Joyce.
In a chat with talkSport, the British promoter said, “We have made initial contact but I don’t think they’ll go with it. If they want it, they can have it.”

Joyce and Joshua have also shared a heated banter on social media, vowing to outbox each other if put inside the ring. Besides, Joe Joyce has proven his worth as an A-lister several times and is now a rightful name in the existing title ride.
As Anthony Joshua looked vulnerable in his latest outing, Joyce has a massive chance of vanquishing Joshua.
Anthony Joshua needs to win his next fight at any cost
Once an undefeated unified heavyweight champion, ‘AJ’ has lost his unbeaten record and world titles. Boasting a 24-2 pro record, the Brit boxer cannot afford to lose again anytime soon. He has already lost his chance to demand an undisputed title fight, and another loss will eject him from the title picture.

As several people now doubt his credibility as a champion, ‘AJ’ should win by any chance and shut down his critics. Only that can resurrect his chances for an undisputed fight in the future.
