Where is Richard Madeley and why isn’t he on GMB?
GOOD Morning Britain’s Richard Madeley is taking another day away from our screens.
The 65-year-old telly veteran was replaced on the show by regular show contributor Martin Lewis yesterday (March 21, 2022).

Where is Richard Madeley?
ITV’s morning show has been fronted by Richard and show favourite Susanna Reid on Mondays to Wednesdays since before Christmas 2021.
He took over the job as the main presenter alongside Susanna after the departure of Piers Morgan, who is about to start a new show on talkTV.
However, she wrote on Twitter on Sunday evening (March 20, 2022): “Tomorrow, I am very pleased to say that @MartinSLewis will be hosting @GMB with me.”
Money-saving expert Martin Lewis then explained that he will be back again this morning, before bowing out for the rest of the week.

He tweeted yesterday (March 21, 2022): “Thank you for having me @GMB and thanks for looking after me @susannareid100.
“Hope it was OK folks. I’m back tomorrow. Then that’s my stint done. Now home for an hours kip before starting my MSE work.”
It’s not known why Richard is off right now, but it is likely to be that he is just enjoying a few days off.
When he took over the job, a source said at the time: “Richard has always maintained he would never do GMB full-time, as he loves his life as it is.

“But as the weeks have gone by, and he’s proven a constant hit with viewers, he’s really got into his stride and has been enjoying it more and more.
“He polls really well with fans and ratings have steadily been on the rise again over the past six months. After a couple of meetings with ITV bosses, he was offered a staff contract. And after consulting with his family, especially wife Judy, he decided ‘sod it’ — and to go for it.”
When is Richard Madeley back on Good Morning Britain?
At the moment, it hasn’t been revealed when Richard will be back on air.
As Martin Lewis isn’t back on the show tomorrow, it could be then (March 23, 2022).
However, Rich could be enjoying a week off, and with that in mind, could return at 6am next Monday (March 28, 2022).

Which other presenters are on Good Morning Britain?
As mentioned, Martin and Susanna are running the show today (March 22, 2022).
Martin is used to fronting Good Morning Britain, having stepped in after Piers Morgan left in March 2021.
Alastair Campbell, Ed Balls, Adil Ray, and Rob Rinder have also assisted Susanna following his departure.
