Fan Makes A Tearjerker Of A Pitch To ‘Hopefully’ Recruit Tyrann Mathieu
NFL franchise Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu is one of the athletes who have a class act. The free agent is looking for new pastures, and a Philadelphia Eagles fan shared an example of his kind nature. Mathieu, a former Super Bowl Champion, took out time to visit a little town in Arizona.
The 3-time NFL All-Pro has a larger-than-life personality and an NFL defensive back whose reputation precedes him. After playing in his 9th NFL campaign with the Chiefs, he would not be returning for the 2022 NFL season.
Despite pleading and offering to take less money to remain in Kansas City, it appears his age was a deal-breaker. A move to the Eagles is quite unlikely because of the expenses and the fan can only continue to dream.
@Mathieu_Era hey boss man I met you yearsssss ago in a small town in Arizona you took time out of your life to visit this little town you are class act and by far my Favorite safety in the NFL a team need to sign you already hopefully it’s the @Eagles !!!

In 2021, he recorded 76 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions (1 returned for a touchdown), 6 passes defended, a sack, and 3 fumble recoveries. The 3-time Pro Bowler is one of the modern hybrid safety/nickel linebacker prototypes. He will be an effective player, who can do it all from within the box or outside.
What’s next for Tyrann Mathieu?
The signing of free-agent safety Justin Reid was the indicator of the end of his time in Kansas City. Many teams are looking for a player like Mathieu, who can be invaluable on the defensive side of the ball. Franchises like the Indianapolis Colts and the Pittsburgh Steelers might be in the running for his signature.
Both the franchises could use his electrifying presence to good use, and enhance their defensive backfield. His veteran leadership and Super Bowl experience will be invaluable for the franchises looking to rebuild their rosters.
The Colts possess a standout unit that contains players like Darius Leonard and Kenny Moore, while the Steelers will be looking to pair him with Minkah Fitzpatrick.

There remains plenty of interest for the ‘Honey Badger’ in the market and presenting a lucrative contract for his signature. While Mathieu’s market value is the only thing that makes this situation curious, he would be a luxury acquisition. It might be a sensible deal for any franchise as the 29-year-old safety will be entering the prime years of his NFL career.
