The Chase won’t stop fat-shaming me despite my incredible weight loss says Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett
THE Chase star Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett has said Bradley Walsh will keep poking fun at his weight – despite his slimdown.
The quiz genius, 56, has lost a lot of weight in recent months and yesterday referred to himself as a “skinny beast”.

But asked by a fan: “Hopefully this means Brad stops with the fat jokes” he said there was no chance.
Mark replied: “The jokewriters openly admit they won’t stop with the fat shaming because it makes their job much harder :(“
Another fan told him: “I get the impression that Brad cringe when reading them out.”
A second insisted: “Time for the show to get new script writers Beastie Boy!!”
More on The Chase
The Chase usually opens with Bradley, 61, poking fun at each of the Chasers or their on-screen personas in scripted jokes.
Speaking about his weight loss yesterday Mark explained: “Happiness is buying a 42” M&S regular black jeans….and finding they are a bit loose :).”
He added: “Last time I was this small it was the 1990s.”
Mark previously spoke about his dramatic weight loss on an episode of Loose Women, saying he’d gone from 5XL to XL.

He said: “I’ve lost 10 stone. I was 29 stone when I was a full time teacher in 2003 and I was in danger of high blood pressure.
“I’ve been around 26 stone up until lockdown, and then a few things happened quite nicely and came together and I started losing weight.”
Asked how he’s managed to lose such an incredible amount of weight, Mark – who shares a son with his ex-wife Katie – joked running around after the toddler has helped.
He said: “The principal thing is running around after a hyperactive toddler when nurseries have been shut. How do you keep up with them?
“I found at the end of the evening instead of going to the fridge for late night snacking, all I could do was collapse on the bed.”
