After over a year, the wait for the next Bridgerton season is nearly over – as the episodes will drop on Netflix on Friday, March 25.
Fans can’t wait for another series of gorgeous Georgian garments, regency romance, and steamy scenes.
But how many seasons of the hit show are there?
Here is everything you need to know.
How many series of Bridgerton are there?
So far, there are two series of Bridgerton – season one (released December 25, 2020) and season two (coming March 25, 2022).
Fans will be delighted to discover that the show’s creator Chris Van Dusen previously revealed that he has plans for the show to have an eight-season run.

Yep, we could very well be returning to London’s social season in the early 1800s several more times to watch all the other Bridgerton family members find love.
How many Bridgerton books are there?
The series is actually based on a series of novels by Julia Quinn – and there are eight books and one epilogue collection in total.
The first season of the show is based on The Duke And I, the first book in the collection, but it also sets up some of the stories from other novels too.
It is yet unknown how closely the show will follow the book series, now that the titular Duke will no longer star in the series, following actor Rege-Jean Page’s exit.
