Paul Gascoigne, 54, one of England’s greatest ever goalscorers, has appeared in the audience before.
He was seen being moved to tears by Regan’s performance of Singin’ In The Rain back at the start of the year.
A tearful Gazza wiped his eyes as he told Dancing on Ice host Holly Willoughby how proud he was of his son.
However, despite huge support from his family and a growing fanbase, Regan dismissed claims he was one of the contest’s dark horses to win this year’s series.

He told The Sun: “I don’t think of it in that way at all. I’m just loving it and really enjoying it.
“I’m embracing every moment of it, but I don’t think I’m the dark horse.”
Regan will face two other finalists – Brendan Cole and Kimberly Wyatt – in a spectacular showdown when the show returns after a two-week break on Sunday night.
He added: “When I started I was genuinely shocked when I got asked to do Dancing on Ice. I’m not even known and they always get really big people to do the show.

“Now I’m here sat between Brendan and Kimberly – I’m like ‘what the hell, how am I here?’
“I’ve got family and friends who haven’t even seen me perform.
“To hear their feedback and for them to see how much I love it is really special. That means more to me than anything.”
Regan, who is paired with American ice dancer Karina Manta, is considered the odds-on favourite to win.
Bookmakers are so convinced he will lift the trophy this year Coral’s John Bill said: “It would be a huge surprise if he did not go on to win the final.”
