‘Don’t Know How to Do S***’ – Enraged Nick Kyrgios Gets Game Penalty for Smashing Racquet at Miami Open 2022

Over the past few matches, one could see some sort of calmness in the way Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios played. It can also be assumed that courts in Miami are favoring the Australian as he was in the drivers’ seat and started to look dangerous in the latter half of the tournament.

On Tuesday, Kyrgios faced a difficult challenge in the form of Italian youngster Jannik Sinner. The duo never faced each other on the tennis court and the Aussie agreed earlier that Sinner has one of the most powerful games he has ever seen.

Just when fans were expecting Kyrgios to focus purely on his tennis, the Australian decided to go the other way round as always. During the first set, Kyrgios could be seen complaining to umpire Carlos Bernardes about the slower court conditions.

Later, an unfortunate incident made Kyrgios go completely nuts over the chair umpire. As Sinner and Kyrgios were playing, the walkie talkie went off loudly, causing a major distraction.

He should be fired on the spot. “How is that possible? A fourth round of Miami, one of the biggest tournaments and you guys just can’t do your job. It’s embarrassing. Get a new set of referees, these guys don’t know how to do s***. Walky-talkies going off.”

Kyrgios continued his rant, “It’s a joke. He is a joke. Get rid of every single staff and start over. Everything. I will run the sport. I could do 100x a better job. Marketing. Everything. You guys have no idea. None. You guys can’t even ref right.”

The Aussie star didn’t stop there. During the changeover, he could be seen venting out his frustration to the chair umpire over how everything is the worst.

As the first set heads into a tie-breaker, Kyrgios wasn’t doing himself any favor by distracting his mind off the game. Sinner, on the other hand, is minding his business and ensuring that he doesn’t get put off by the whole drama.

Kyrgios was given game penalty to start the second set

The Italian youngster took the first set in the breaker as Kyrgios continues to be devastated by the walkie-talkie incident. Towards the end of first set, the Australian star was given a point penalty and as he continued to disobey the game’s rule, Bernardes was left with no other option but to give a game penalty to Nick Kyrgios during the start of the second set.

Once again, it was a dismal start to the match by Nick Kyrgios as he was down a set and a break against Jannik Sinner, who looks confident enough to pull off his first-ever victory against the Australian.
