Grand National 2022: LATEST list of runners, weights, best FREE BETS, odds and tips

THRILLS, spills and £500,000 to the winner – the race that stops a nation returns on Saturday, April 9.

Yes, the Grand National, the world’s most famous race, will be back with a bang at Aintree.

Rachael Blackmore capped off her miracle season with victory on Minella Times in 2021.

But fans were barred from the racecourse then meaning she went back to the winners’ enclosure in near silence.

That won’t be the case this year, with tickets selling out quickly for the cap in the feather of the National Hunt season.

Here, Sun Racing takes you through all the runners currently entered, their odds at the time of writing, an early tip, how to watch it all unfold and, best of all, the top free bet offers.

When is the Grand National?

The 2022 Grand National takes place at 5.15pm on Saturday, April 9.

You can watch all the action live on ITV1.

Grand National 2022 tip

Where do you start in trying to find the winner of the world’s trickiest race to predict?

Well, this time you might want to ski big name trainers like Gordon Elliott, Henry de Bromhead and Willie Mullins.

Instead, take a look at Swindon-based Emma Lavelle, who will bid to become the first woman trainer winner of the race since 2017.

Her horse Eclair Surf showed he liked a huge trip when winning a Grade 3 at Warwick over 3m5f in January.

On the eight-year-old’s first attempt at over four miles he finished a close second at Newcastle in February.

With some firms non runner-no bet, the 33-1 on offer looks pretty good.

Subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner Corach Rambler was 20 lengths behind in fourth that day.
