I was too drunk to realise how awful my tattoo was – now it’s too late

A TIKTOK user who attended an inking session while she was drunk was horrified when the artist messaged up the design.

The woman, who posts as madmachen, had showed how she wanted her tree inking to look on her wrist.

But the artist failed to follow the example given to them and inked something different.      

And to make matters worse, the woman was so intoxicated that she had failed to notice how badly it was all going until she had sobered up.

She explained: “I got a tattoo after a few margaritas, and I didn’t realise how poorly my tattoo appointment was going until it was too late. “

The woman revealed in the comments that she had the inking more than five years ago, and still rues her mistake to this day.

She added: “I am reminded of how dumb it is literally any time I use my hands.

“I sometimes get anxious when speaking up about what I want. It’s taken a long time, but ive learned I have to be very vocal during tattoo appointments.”

Many TikTok users were in agreeance that the artist shouldn’t have tattooed while she was drunk.

It came as many users pointed out that the design looked like a Christmas tree.

“It’s never “I like your tattoo” it’s always, “you must really like Christmas”, the woman explained.

One user suggested: “Uhm so I suggest a rework into maybe, MAYBE, a bigger tree.. with aurora borealis as a background?”

Another user posed: “It could probably be turned into an arrow head and that would be pretty cool. A black one with white to show the carving marks.”

While a third user quipped: “Just gotta get some glitter and crayolas out in a few months it’ll be fine.”

Last month a Reddit user shared pictures online of her new butterfly design after claiming the tattoo artist didn’t stop her from getting an inking while drunk.

But despite slamming the person responsible, the woman said she is not upset and revealed she planned to get the failed inking covered up.
