Love Island star Zara McDermott’s brother in talks to appear on the new series

ZARA MCDERMOTT’s brother Brad is in talks to appear on Love Island this year.

Former Islander Zara, who appeared on the ITV2 show in 2018, found love with Adam Collard in the villa and the pair later moved in together.

But eight months later they split, and Zara moved on with Made in Chelsea’s Sam Thompson, appearing on the posh E4 show alongside him.

And now it seems her brother Brad is keen to make a name for himself in the TV world as well.

One source said: “Brad is a young, good looking guy, and he has seen how appearing on Love Island has completely transformed Zara’s life.

“Though she didn’t find long-term love, it has served as a great platform for her.

“She also had a great time there, and he thinks it would be a great laugh.”

Zara has enjoyed success since her time on the dating show.

She filmed a BBC documentary about her experiences of Revenge Porn, and landed a TV presenting job on BBC Three’s Love in the Flesh.

It comes after it was revealed that Love Island bosses are lining up a stunning beautician for the 2022 series – with a famous footballer ex.

Sophie Draper, 22, dated Aston Villa right-back Matty Cash for four years prior to their sudden split last year and has met with ITV chiefs who think she is the “perfect fit” for the dating show.

A TV source said: “Sophie is a gorgeous girl who is really driven and determined to succeed.

“She has her own beauty salon and already leads a jet set lifestyle, which she likes showing off on Instagram, so she wouldn’t be fazed by being on TV.

“Love Island bosses think she could be a good fit for the show, it’s early days still but she definitely has potential.

“Matty will be pretty shocked to see her looking for love on TV, but he publicly moved on pretty quickly.”

Sophie, who owns Sophie Laura Beauty in Nottingham, already has 19.3k Instagram followers, and is friends with Towie stars Chris Clark and Roman Hackett, as well as former Islander Lucinda Stafford.

Love Island opened applications at the start of the year and The Sun revealed that Laura Whitmore had signed a £50k deal to host the upcoming series, which is yet to get a release date.

The last series of the show was won by Millie Court and Liam Reardon, who are still together.
