The Canelo Alvarez Fight Has Now Forced UFC’s Elite to Question Kamaru Usman’s Sanity

The pound-for-pound king, Canelo Alvarez, is the biggest star of boxing across the globe. There are a bunch of opponents knocking at his door to take a shot. Among them, the most talked-about opponent is the UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman.

The Nigerian mixed martial artist seems confident in his boxing skills so much that he is keen to square off with the Mexican superstar in the boxing ring. However, his decision to switch from UFC to the boxing ring and then openly challenge the undisputed super-middleweight has forced UFC’s elite to question Usman’s sanity.

Former UFC middleweight champion, Michael Bisping sat down with producer Mike Harrington to talk about Kamaru Usman calling out Canelo Alvarez for a boxing match.

While interacting, they shed light on Kamaru’s skill set and what impact it would have on the rest of the UFC if he gets the fight.

Bisping said, “He’s extremely dominant. Seems like he can’t be beaten, so I don’t think that can Kamaru’s doing that simply because he doesn’t believe it but he wants the money. He’s feeling his own hand right now and rightly so powerful number one guy on the planet hasn’t lost him. God knows how long he’s got one loss right. I believe that’s right. So he’s confident you know, but he’s out of his mind.”

What did Canelo Alvarez say about a probable fight with Kamaru Usman?

The 34-year-old Kamaru wants to recreate history by bringing the biggest name of boxing and UFC in the same ring as UFC megastar, Conor McGregor did by clashing with the five-weight division champ, Floyd Mayweather.

He openly challenged boxing’s modern great, Canelo Alvarez, and labeled it as ‘The greatest and the biggest fight ever in the history of combat sports’.

However, Canelo Alvarez has no interest in it. He turned out all such speculation by saying, “I don’t see. It doesn’t make sense for me. I want to make history in boxing, and I don’t see anything right there.”
