324 lb Shaquille O’Neal Wanted to Damage the Eardrum of 6’11” Bulls Star Using His Police Training

One of the most vibrant personalities in the world of basketball is Shaquille O’Neal. Apart from his exploits on the basketball court, he has had successful ventures in the world of business and media. Moreover, he is also a successful DJ and a police officer!

While it may come as a surprise to many, Shaq is indeed a police officer. Interestingly enough, he wanted to use his police training during an altercation with a Chicago Bulls star.

There is no denying Shaquille O’Neal is one of the greatest players of all time. He won the NBA title 4 times with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat. He has won the NBA finals MVP three times and has also been awarded the NBA MVP award once.

One interesting fact about Shaq is that he is a registered police officer! He joined Clayton County as the Sheriff’s deputy in 2016 after undergoing training.

Talking about an incident during his NBA career, Shaq revealed how he wanted to use his police training to best use. He said, “I told Brad, I don’t know how you play, don’t do it again. It was like a neck chop. He did it, I got up. But you know, with all the police training can’t really hit somebody in the back of the head.”

He was suspended 3 games & fined $15,000 for this missed punch.

Shaq adds, “That’s why I tried to hit him with the side in the air. I wanted to get him in the air. Like I wanted to get down here and get that job. Oh, I mean, because you know, he was turning around. I stopped I didn’t want to hit him in the back, but as soon as he turns to the side, I wanted to bust his eardrums up that’s all. I wanted him to hear f****** tweety birds for the rest of his life.”

This incident happened when Charles Oakley and Brad Miller of the Chicago Bulls used the Hack-a-Shaq tactic. In this tactic, the opposition intentionally fouls Shaq to force him into free throws.
