Ryan Reynolds breaks Man Utd fans’ hearts with brilliant response after calls for Hollywood star to buy club

RYAN REYNOLDS has broken Manchester United fans’ hearts after one called for him to buy the Red Devils.

The Hollywood superstar entered the world of British football last year when he bought Wrexham alongside fellow actor Rob McElhenney.

Reynolds, 45, has revelled in his ownership of the National League club – but has no desire to upsize his football portfolio.

The Canadian responded to calls to get Wrexham legend Gareth Davies to the upcoming FA Trophy final at Wembley, amid his health battles.

He wrote on Twitter: “Rob and I will make sure Gareth makes it to Wembley in comfort.

“He showed up for @Wrexham_AFC and we’ll show up for him. #GarethIsGoingToWembley”.

A Red Devils fan saw the post, and responded: “Please buy Man Utd.”

Reynolds replied: “I’m already seeing someone.”

Ryan and Rob have enjoyed some thrilling moments during their first full season as co-owners.

The duo were able to attend their first game earlier this season, witnessing their team’s 3-2 defeat at Maidenhead.

Reynolds described football as a “beautiful, gorgeous, lovely, wonderful, soul-annihilating curse” after the game.

He later joked that he “lost nine years of his life” after watching Wrexham somehow come back from 5-2 down to beat Dover Athletic 6-5 last month.

The Dragons are currently second in the National League table – eight points behind leaders Stockport.

They will face County at Wembley in next month’s FA Trophy final.
