Son Heung-min has plundered 61 Dream Team points in his last three games
If Antonio Conte guides Tottenham to a top-four finish this season it will be further evidence of his considerable coaching prowess.
The north London club looked rudderless and disinterested under Nuno Espirito Santo but have been re-energised under the Italian tactician to a thrilling degree.
Victory over Aston Villa on Saturday was their fourth consecutive win in the Premier League and with rivals Arsenal having stumbled against Crystal Palace and Brighton, many believe Spurs are now favourites to secure Champions League qualification alongside Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea for next season.
The most striking aspect of Conte’s tenure so far has been the formation of a dynamic attacking trio.
Leading lightsgetty
Harry Kane (£7.7m) and Son Heung-min (£5.5m) have long been telepathic partners but Dejan Kulusevski ‘s (£2.8m) arrival from Juventus in January has added another element entirely.
The 21-year-old has blended seamlessly with the two experienced forwards, something that has proved difficult for others in recent years.
Kane and Son are so in sync with each other that it can be a struggle for third parties to reach the same level of understanding but Kulusevski has complemented both in his 13 appearances for Spurs so far.
The effective nature of Spurs’ attacking threesome since the turn of the year really can’t be understated – Kane (15), Son (13) and Kulusevski (9) are the Premier League’s leading three players for goal involvements in 2022.
Naturally this has translated to a tidal wave of Dream Team points.
The young Swede has accumulated a respectable 44 points but the two senior forwards have profited in a big way.
Hat-trick herogetty
Kane has amassed 78 points since Game Week 25 at an average of 7.8 points-per-game.
As for Son, after a hat-trick at Villa Park the South Korean superstar has plundered a whopping 61 points from his last three outings!
He’s scored six goals during this fruitful spell and is now just three goals behind Mohamed Salah (£7.7m) in the Golden Boot race – the Egyptian looked to have the gong sewn up but Son is turning the screw with 17 goals to Salah’s 20.
With 190 points in total, Spurs’ No7 is now comfortably the fourth-best asset in his position and eighth-best player overall.
His ownership of 17.9% is significant but surely his popularity will spike in the coming weeks?
Any Dream Team gaffers worth their salt wouldn’t ignore a run of 61 points in three games.
