UFC Botches Billionaire’s Name Who Owns Three Sports Teams, Twitter Takes Them on a Ride

In recent times, MMA and pro-wrestling have generated almost equal fanbase around the world. We see many MMA athletes at the shows of WWE, AEW, etc. Moreover, sometimes top-level executives from wrestling companies also visit UFC and Bellator shows to find new superstars.

The appearance of pro-wrestling and MMA members in each other’s shows has become a tradition nowadays. Most recently, AEW owner Tony Khan and legendary WWE and current AEW commentator Jim Ross appeared at UFC 273.

The appearance of Tony Khan and Jim Ross at UFC 273 could have been to start AEW and UFC’s working relations, which Tony Khan once stated in an interview with Marc Raimondi on ESPN.

However, their appearance will be remembered because of a botch UFC made with Tony Khan’s name. They displayed his last name as “Kahn” instead of “Khan”. Moreover, they didn’t introduce Tony as AEW Owner instead, they announced him as the Co-Owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Did any WWE officials have appeared at UFC shows?

In 2016, Triple H wanted to sign UFC stars Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor. WWE was able to sign Rousey later. However, the Irish UFC fighter wasn’t interested in stepping foot in WWE at that point.

Nevertheless, Triple H was present in the audience on a historic night when McGregor became the first MMA athlete to hold two UFC belts in two distinct divisions. Hunter wanted to make his presence at the big night for McGregor.

Since Brock Lesnar appeared in UFC and WWE simultaneously a few years back, it made UFC and WWE to reduce the barriers to doing business with each other.
