Serena Williams rose to fame when she won her first Major title at the 1999 US Open by defeating Martina Hingis in the final. Following a breakthrough season in 1999, she has shown consistency throughout her career to become one of the greatest tennis players ever. She broke Steffi Graf’s astounding record of 22 Major title wins when she won the Australian Open in 2017. Her presence on and off the court has truly inspired not only tennis fans but also people from other walks of life.
