“Dope” Jake Paul Responds to Floyd Mayweather’s Bitter Rival Oscar De La Hoya’s Praise
The Problem Child has been making a buzz in the sport of boxing for quite a considerable length of time. Despite his roots, Jake Paul, the social media sensation, is now an everyday talk in professional boxing.
However, there are mixed reviews about Paul’s boxing skills and determination to continue the sport. While some people doubt whether Jake Paul can actually be considered a true athlete, some, in him, see a future star. Recently, Oscar De La Hoya, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, and a former professional boxer has praised Jake Paul’s athleticism and devotion to boxing. In De La Hoya‘s appreciation, Paul can easily take on some of the current world champs.
After that, in a recent TMZ interview, this is what Jake Paul had in his heart to say:
“It’s dope man. He (De La Hoya) is one of my inspirations. I love the way he fights and I try to implement his style into the way that I fight. So; to hear that from him, it means a lot.”
Oscar De La Hoya helps Jake Paul reiterate what he’s been saying all along
De La Hoya’s faith in Jake Paul’s fighting abilities is pretty assertive and clear. He labels Paul “the real deal,” and dares anyone with MMA or boxing experience to call the same out. To quote De La Hoya, “Jake Paul is the real deal. And I dare anyone who has boxing experience who has MMA experience to call him out, ’cause I’ll tell you one thing, this guy can beat a lot of good champions, and even great champions.”

Hearing De La Hoya’s compliments, ‘The Problem Child‘ can no longer hold his own emotions back. “I sound so cocky; he’s right. It’s true, man, I beat world champions in the gym in sparring,” pushes an excited Jake Paul.
Does that mean Golden Boy Promotions will now back Paul?
Yet to be clear. However, with Oscar De La Hoya praising Jake Paul all of a sudden, one cannot help but sniff the air for some ground motive.

With Fortune’s favor and a huge social media influence, Jake Paul is indeed a valuable catch for the Golden Boy Promotions. How the story shall turn out, hopefully, we will see soon.
