Kim Kardashian has made the bodysuit cool – but can you pick out the star’s £80 Skims range from a £8 high street copy?
FASHION influencer and model Sadie Bass compares bodysuits from Kim Kardashian’s Skims range with bargain alternatives on the high street.
Can you spot the difference between them?
Kim Kardashian, centre, launches her ‘Fits Everbody’ Skims collection with pals Candice Swanepoel, Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum and Alessandra Ambrosio
SKIMS – 4.5/5
DAN WILLIAMS‘It holds me in on my stomach, which is what I want’[/caption]
Sadie says: “This would be really nice as a top with jeans as it’s really flattering on the bust and upper body.
“But it’s cutting into my hips, so if you were wearing a tight dress or satiny material it would show through.
“It holds me in on my stomach, which is what I want, and when you try it on, you feel like you’re being really sucked in. Plus, it’s comfortable. The drawback? It’s so expensive!”

DAN WILLIAMS‘The overall fit might be a bit generous so I could have squeezed into a size down’[/caption]
Sadie says: “Around the top of the leg and crotch, this is cutting in, which could get uncomfortable if you wore it all day.
“The overall fit might be a bit generous so I could have squeezed into a size down. So if you are in between sizes, I’d recommend you try a smaller one.
“There is a little bit of ‘suck-in’ which feels very comfortable but I’d like a bit more of a cinched feeling.”

MARKS & SPENCER – 3/5
DAN WILLIAMS‘It’s very comfy. It doesn’t feel like your organs are being crushed yet I still feel held in’[/caption]
Sadie says: “The built-in support in the bra is great if you have a big bust – one less thing to worry about.
“It’s very comfy. It doesn’t feel like your organs are being crushed yet I still feel held in. And the texture is smooth and soft.
“But the neckline is a bit high for me – I wear low-cut necklines so this scoop with wider straps could show.”

JOHN LEWIS – 3/5
DAN WILLIAMS‘I really like that you can wear your own bra with it too’[/caption]
Sadie says: “It feels like butter, it’s the softest thing ever – I can’t stop touching it. Seamless and very smooth so it will never show through clothes.
“I really like that you can wear your own bra with it too, so you can feel more like you while confident the shapewear is smoothing things out. But it was a little wrinkly across my body so not a perfect fit for me.”

PRIMARK – 4/5
DAN WILLIAMS‘It fits smoothly and wouldn’t show any VPL’[/caption]
Sadie says: “This is very similar to the Skims one. It really sucks you in – though not quite as much as the Skims, and the material is a bit scratchy.
“The cut isn’t as high on the leg either. A high cut emphasises the hips and bum. But it fits smoothly and wouldn’t show any VPL. Probably the best behind Skims and it’s only £8.”

TESCO – 3.5/5
DAN WILLIAMS‘The mesh makes it more comfortable as there is a little bit of give. You have more mobility’[/caption]
Sadie says: “Very waist-cinching. I really like this. It’s seam-free and there’s no digging in or VPL.
“The mesh makes it more comfortable as there is a little bit of give. You have more mobility – especially in the hips where the panelling is – whereas some styles can make you feel as though you’re walking like a penguin and can’t breathe.
