Dustin Poirier Takes a Shot at Birthday Boy Nate Diaz Only to Get Brutally Humiliated

The UFC megastars, Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz took shots at each other. This time, the occasion was Nate Diaz’s birthday.

A birthday wish from ‘The Diamond’ followed by a response from the Stockton native created fire for their highly anticipated bout, which fans are demanding for almost a decade now.

It started with the Louisiana native putting a tweet on Diaz’s special day.

Get a deal done and get that ass whipped for your birthday

The former interim lightweight champion wrote, “Get a deal done and get that a** whipped for your birthday.”

Diaz is on his final bout of the contract. Thus, getting a deal for this fight has been more tedious than usual. The UFC perhaps wants Diaz to sign a new contract or, as UFC President Dana White hinted, they are waiting for a Conor McGregor trilogy bout.

Meanwhile, Diaz has, on multiple occasions, suggested how badly he wants to square off against Poirier.

Initially, the UFC booked the two to fight at UFC 230 at the MSG. However, the highly awaited bout faced troubles when Poirier had to pull out of the fight due to a medical condition. That said, Poirier blames Diaz for the bout not coming to fruition.

Anyhow, Poirier going after Diaz, that too on his birthday, didn’t sit well with the 209 representatives as he replied to Poirier.

Bruh no one likes you and u suck someone need a to put a purple belt on you thanks for da bday wishes tho

Diaz took a shot at Poirier‘s jiujitsu. He wrote, Bruh no one likes you and u suck someone need a to put a purple belt on you thanks for da bday wishes tho.

Dustin Poirier lost two championship bouts in grappling exchanges

One of the best boxers in the UFC, Dustin Poirier, also has a black belt in jiujitsu and has shown his wrestling prowess throughout his MMA career. Subsequently, the veteran fighter has many submissions and notable victories to his name.

However, his bouts with the undefeated lightweight, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and holder of most submissions in UFC history, Charles Oliveira, didn’t go his way when Poirier had to trade in the grappling department.

Yet, Poirier holds his position at the top of the lightweight division, as he has dominated the entire division apart from these two losses.
