Rebel Wilson and Matt Lucas reminded us of their surprising friendship as they reunited for a walk in London after a year apart.

The Great British Bake Off host shared two photos of the pair finally back together after a year apart standing next to a graffiti-covered wall.

The Australian actress, who is in the UK to work on a film, jokingly played with her hair in the background as Matt held up his phone to take the pic.

He wrote in the picture caption: ‘Reunited after a year apart. A lovely weekend walk with an old friend who is here filming a movie.’

In return the Pitch Perfect star posted a string of emoji blowing kisses in the comments.

On her own Instagram page she shared the same photos and joked about Matt’s role in the comedy Little Britain.

She said: ‘Only gays in the village 😝 love you Matt, you’re always there for helpful roommate/brotherly advice.’

The actors once lived together in Los Angeles for three years with Matt previously telling the BBC a ‘great friendship’ had blossomed and they are still ‘bosom buddies’.

Rebel decided to move out in 2015 with Matt dividing his time between London and the US.

They also both appeared in the 2011 romantic comedy Bridesmaids in which they played siblings.

‘When we met it was like complete synchronicity, we’re both very laid back and we’re also quite driven professionally and I see that in her and she sees that in me but we’re not competitive because we just enjoy each other’s work.’
