The Crown star Emma Corrin has donated the stunning gown she wore during the Golden Globes last month to a charity raffle.

The 25-year-old wore a bespoke Miu Miu gown inspired by a Pierrot clown as she virtually collected the gong for best performance by an actress in a drama TV series for her portrayal of Princess Diana in season four of the historical drama.

And Emma is now hoping to pay her success forward by raising funds for the specialist rape and sexual abuse charity, The Survivors Trust.

The actress, whose look was put together by celebrity stylist Harry Lambert, told Harper’s Bazaar: ‘It’s a very strange thing, that so much work is put into creating a custom outfit for one evening, albeit an amazing occasion.

‘I wanted the outfit to keep on giving, and with the raffle, it means that it wasn’t just made for one evening – it will make a difference and give a charity the money it needs to provide crucial help.’

Emma’s gorgeous black velvet dress came with huge shoulders and a large white ruffle around the neck and was put together by Lambert, who is the genius behind Harry Styles’ wardrobe most of the time.

The star decided to raffle her Miu Miu dress rather than putting it to auction so that it would be more accessible for those without bigger budgets.

With the cost of entering being just £10, all proceeds will go towards The Survivors Trust, whose main objective is to provide support and counselling to victims of rape, sexual violence and sexual abuse.

Emma added: ‘I think that in general our social consciousnesses have been broadened over the past year; the gap between wanting to effect change and making an actual difference has closed.

‘The time to act is now. And especially when it comes to sexual assault and sexual violence, there has never been a more important time to raise awareness of the support survivors need.’

The raffle will close at 8 pm on Sunday 28th March, with the winner selected by a random online generator and notified via email.
