Cooper Kupp Not Interested In Getting Massive Deals Like Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill and Stefon Diggs: “I Don’t Think That’s the Approach That I Take”

Cooper Kupp dominated the NFL throughout every key-grabbing statistic in 2021 and became the Super Bowl LVI MVP. After such a tremendous season, it would entitle anyone to a raise. Although the WR has taken every opportunity to become the highest-paid target, he does not expect to seek for it.

The wide receivers pool has garnered considerable attention this summer. Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs traded Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill to franchises that could afford to cover them with everything they needed. This raises a question about how will the marketplace appear when Kupp is ready to negotiate a new contract?

Cooper Kupp isn’t aggressive over contractual terms

Cooper Kupp stated he is looking forward to seeing the deals inked by other wide receivers this summer. When questioned if he intends to exceed these agreements, the wide receiver indicates it isn’t essential to him.

He mentions, “I don’t think that’s really kind of the approach that I take. I definitely think there’s a place you want to be. There’s a place that you feel like is fair. A place for me and for this organization. I’m not trying to beat anybody. I’m not trying to compare myself to anyone else. It’s more about being in a place that’s just right for both sides.”

Asked if he wants to top other WR deals, Cooper Kupp said that’s not important to him. “I’m not trying to beat anybody. I’m not trying to compare myself to anyone else. It’s more about being in a place that’s just right for both sides.”https://t.co/eGj5gKzCQI

Cooper Kupp dominated the league in 2021. This past season, the former Eastern Washington star snagged 145 catches for 1,947 yardage and 16 touchdowns. He became the 8th wideout to be crowned Super Bowl MVP after receiving eight of ten passes for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Kupp won the NFL’s triple crown last season, becoming the first player since 2005 to lead the league in grabs, yards receiving, and touchdown passes.

As the L.A. Rams move forward to keep the Super Bowl-winning team, expect them to keep Cooper Kupp in the mix. The WR just wants a fair compensation, and the franchise can surely have a look over that. Kupp’s contract has two years left on it, but Rams may approach him for an extension agreement relatively soon.
