James Harden and Joel Embiid’s Heated Exchange With Their Own Teammate Sends NBA Fans in a Tailspin

Game 3 between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Toronto Raptors was a thriller. After trailing for the whole game, the Sixers took the game to overtime and won on an insane three from Joel Embiid. The Sixers had to do it without James Harden in overtime, as Harden fouled himself out in the fourth quarter. But there was something odd that caught everyone’s eye in the first half.

Danny Green was called for a loose ball foul near the end of the second quarter. He obviously did not agree with the call. As such, he started arguing with the refs, and his teammates didn’t want him to get into more trouble, so they tried to stop him. But Green was in no mood. As a result, Tyrese Maxey pushed him back while Harden and Embiid joined in as well and tried to keep Green from making matters worse. But their effort failed as he picked up a technical, regardless. Eventually, everyone calmed him down and stopped him from getting a second one.

NBA Twitter goes wild as Joel Embiid and James Harden fight with their own teammate

NBA Fans went nuts when they saw Harden and Embiid hold back Green. They could not believe they were pushing back their own teammate. Even though they did it to avoid Green getting a tech, the way they did, it was not appreciated. Here are the best reactions:

I’m Danny Green, No way I’m letting mfers touch me and push me like that when I got more rings than all of them combined

when you try to call someone down you usually try to hold them and pull them away not push like tht and dismiss them. Three differnt dudes verbally and physically reprimanded him

The Sixers take a commanding 3-0 lead

Embiid made a 3-pointer with less than a second left in overtime to seal the deal for the Sixers and secured a 104-101 victory. Doc Rivers called the timeout with the shot clock running down and he drew up a play for Embiid. He took an inbound pass from Green and hit a turnaround three to give the Sixers the lead. The Raptors were unable to get the shot off before the horn. With this win, the Sixers take a commanding 3-0 lead in their first-round series. They will look to complete the sweep on Friday.

Embiid finished with 33 points and 13 rebounds and rallied the Sixers from a 17-point deficit. Harden had 19 points and 10 assists and fouled out at the end of regulation. Anunoby had 26 while Trent Jr had 24. Meanwhile, Siakam and VanVleet had a horrible game, and they combined for 22 points only.
