It seems like NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe cannot help but talk about automobile-related issues in America. Previously the former tight end got caught up in controversy after making a comment on the rising gas prices. This time Sharpe has made some strong stances regarding some street driving rules.
Recently, the state of Tennessee passed a bill regarding drunk driving. It states that the driver is responsible for paying child support if they accidentally cause the death of a parent. Many people have stood in support of this bill. But Shannon Sharpe wants to make a bigger change.
NFL Hall of Famer wants all 50 states to adopt the bill passed by Tennessee
According to Jose Martinez of Complex Media, “WGCL reports a bill in Tennessee unanimously passed in the Senate Wednesday that would require someone convicted of vehicular homicide due to intoxication to pay child support if that person kills a parent.” Many people and in support of the new initiative adopted by the state.

One of those in support is Shannon Sharpe. But the former NFL player wants all 50 states of America to pass this law. On Twitter, Sharp wrote. “Should be the law in all 50 states.” The tweet gained a lot of attention from the people as it got a lot of reactions. It seems like for the most part, the fans of the analyst are in support of his stance. Many people replying to the tweet have a positive take on the bill.

Getting all 50 states to pass the bill is going to be an enormous task. But the support of the people on social media can help make the change.
Shannon Sharpe has always been against driving under the influence
Back in September 2020, the Tennessee Titans’ first-round pick, Isaiah Wilson, was arrested for driving under the influence. A fan sent out a tweet to the NFL saying they should partner up with Lyft to avoid such problems. Shannon Sharpe explained to a fan why that might not work.

Then the former TE got in a back and forth exchange with some other fans calling him out. Shannon explain what he meant by replying, “Anyone that drinks and drive are selfish, it isn’t just athletes.” Drink and drive is something that Shannon Sharpe has always been against. Seeing how Tennessee passed a new bill, he hopes the entire nation makes similar laws.
