Harry Styles is set to make a lot of fans very happy, as he has been announced to headline both Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2022 as well as Capital’s Summertime Ball with Barclaycard.
The man has hardly cooled down after headlining both weekends at Coachella.
The As It Was star, 28, was confirmed this morning to perform a full headline set on Sunday, May 29 at Radio 1’s festival in Coventry, before being named as the first star for Capital’s event, set to take place Sunday, June 12.
The One Direction star is fresh off his headline performance at Coachella in the US, where he had special guests Shania Twain and Lizzo join him on stage.
Harry will be taking to the stage for the first Big Weekend to take place in person since 2019, after 2020 and 2021’s events had to take place online due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
BBC Radio 1 tweeted: ‘Our final #BigWeekend Sunday headliner is @Harry_Styles. This is going to be SO special. A full solo festival set.’
As well as Harry, other acts to be added to the line-up include Pa Salieu and Rina Sawayama, with an audience of around 80,000 fans expected to attend.
Across the stellar weekend, ticket holders will also get to see stars including Calvin Harris, Ed Sheeran, Aitch, AJ Tracey, Anne Marie, Central Cee and Yungblud,
Rapper Pa Salieu said he was ‘excited to be finally performing in my home town Coventry,’ adding: ‘I know the Coventry crowd will do our city proud and show all the other artists the energy of the Midlands.’
