The final episode of the documentary has finally released on Tuesday. There has been a multi-month delay before it hit our screens. One of the main focuses of the 10th episode was Tom Brady Sr. The father of the legendary quarterback gets candid about his struggles with COVID-19.
Tom Brady Sr. opens up about his battle with COVID-19
2020 was a rough year for everyone around the world. The sudden spread of the pandemic has seemed to have halted the entire planet. COVID-19 has attacked many people. One of those unfortunate people was the father of Tom Brady. Brady Sr. also had a prolonged battle with the virus. In the final episode of “Man in the Arena” Brady Sr. got candid while talking about his battle.
“I’m kind of lucky that I’m still here, to be honest with you,” Brady Sr. said. “They didn’t have vaccines at that time. I had [COVID-19] for 18 days, was in the hospital. I was this close to having to go on a ventilator. Thank God that didn’t happen.”
Being away from your family during a time like this is very difficult. During this period Tom Brady was away from his father. “It was very hard being across the country,” he said. “I really had to rely on my sisters to help with my dad and what he was going through. It was a very scary situation for our family.”
The role of Brady Sr. in Tom’s life
Tom Brady spent a lot of time during the 10th episode of his documentary speaking about his father. His father has always been a big influence on him and still supports Brady to this day. Tom explained how his dad committed everything to him.

Brady Sr. Helped Brady learn the game. He showed his son the ropes and held him up. Brady Sr. would attend all of his children’s games. He would go to work early at 5:30 am to come home around 3:30 PM to help his children play. Brady Sr. has been a perfect role model for his kids.
