Former NBA Star Calls Out Fake Michael Jordan Story That Involved Smoking A Cigar And Dropping 50 Points In A Game With Ease: “Sorry, But That’s Not True”

There have some crazy stories about Michael Jordan. Some stories are so wild that you couldn’t believe that they were true. He had the flu in a Finals game once and he was very weak. But he still came out and dropped 38 to help his team win the game. But some stories even though how popular they are, are not true. And one former NBA star has called out one such fake story.

There was a story going on about Jordan who was making the rounds on the internet. The story said that Jordan reportedly once walked into an opposition locker room during a playoff game.

The team was the Washington Bullets, and it was the 1997 playoffs. Jordan came into the locker room with a cigar in his mouth and asked that team who is gonna guard him on the night.

He then went on to score 55 PTS on 22 on 35 shooting and 10 of 10 from the free-throw line. This story made Jordan a legend. But a former member of the Bullets is now ready to put those rumors to rest.

Rod Strickland says the story about Michael Jordan is a fake one

Strickland is a former NBA player who played for several NBA teams including the Bullets. He enjoyed a long career in the NBA and was an excellent passer of the ball. He is also the godfather of current NBA superstar Kyrie Irving.

Rob who was on the Bullets team saw the post on Twitter and he went on to debunk the entire story. He tweeted, “Sorry, but that’s not true” insinuating that Jordan never came into the locker room with a cigar in hand.

If Jordan had indeed something so wild, there would be multiple sources confirming the story. However, this hasn’t been the case for this one. There are many inconsistencies and there are many versions of this story.

And with Michael Jordan not mentioning this story or confirming any of the other sources, it is hard to validate this story. Even though we can’t say if this story is true, Jordan did have a great game, and he showed why he is regarded as the GOAT.
