Josh Butler warms things up with this summer selection of house music
JOSH Butler has established himself among the UK’s hottest new House talents.
With releases across a spectrum on labels such as Crosstown Rebels and Defected alongside his own label ORIGINS RCRDS providing a home for legends such as Kerri Chandler, Robert Owens and Steve Mac this year is shaping up to be a special one.
Josh will be headlining Till Dusk Festival later in the summer, a new festival that celebrates the moment when the sun sets and the night time vibe takes over. It makes its debut on Friday June 3rd in Kippax, Leeds.
To get us in the mood we asked him put together a playlist of big summer tracks which includes a hefty selection from his very own ORIGINS RCRDS.
Dario D Attis & Dani featuring Ron Carol – Come back
A stunning soulful vocal track that was released last week. A modern classic. This original is accompanied by a heavy weight dub mix designed for the dancefloor.
MANT – Subconscious
If anyone has seen me play live over the last few months they’ll probably have heard me play this. It’s been destroying dancefloors around the UK, USA and Australia.
Josh Butler – Final Adjustments
My most recent original release that was inspired by my back injury i had in 2021. Luckily its 99% recovered now. One of the ‘final adjustments’ to my spine happened the day of writing this track.
Groove Armada – A Little Longer
A timeless sounding House track from U.K. legends Groove Armada.
Roger Sanchez – Not Enough (Josh Butler remix)
It was an honour for me to remix a hero of mine, Roger Sanchez. Very proud of this remix!
Denton & SOHMI – Get to U
The latest release from my Denton project, this time a collaboration with SOHMI. Heavy support from Sam Divine.
Kerri Chandler – In My System
This hasn’t left my record collection since the start of my DJ career. Stone cold classic.
Dennis Cruz & Josh Butler – Ahora Todo Va
A special release with my friend Dennis as part of his artist album last year. A Latin inspired track that is perfect for festivals and terrace parties.
Simon Ray – L ‘Amour
I fell in love with this track the first time I heard it. Huge fan of the blend between original House sounds and modern tech house beats.
Masters At Work – To Be In Love
One of my favourite MAW tracks, takes me right back to some of the best parties including Southport Weekenders! Nothing but good memories.
