A year to the day after Jay Briscoe died aged 38 in a horror car crash, his daughter walked again on AEW Dynamite.
His eldest daughter Gracie needed surgery in the wake of the crash, with doctors telling her she would likely never be able to walk again.
However, Jay’s brother and tag team partner Mark Briscoe had some heartwarming news for All Elite Wrestling fans on the anniversary of his sibling’s death.
He came out during Wednesday night’s show and paid tribute to his brother, before reflecting on what the doctors told his niece.
‘They told my oldest niece, “You’ll never walk again,”‘ he said, before taking a brief pause.

‘However! Dammit,’ he shouted as Gracie walked out with her siblings to an incredible ovation from the fans in attendance, as Mark continued: ‘God is on the throne! We Dem Boys, dammit!
‘We won’t stop coz we can’t stop! We ain’t going nowhere! We thank every one of y’all from the bottom of our hearts.’
His passionate speech led into a heartbreaking but powerful video tribute to Jay, with viewers sobbing over the incredibly emotional scenes.

‘Man I was not prepared for that Jay Briscoe tribute. Tears streaming. The strength of Mark and that poor girl. God bless the Briscoe Family,’ wrote fan @duke_mcgrath, while @MSidgewick added: ‘Just burst into tears at the strength of that girl. The bravery, the perseverance. Life-affirming stuff. Jay Briscoe forever x’
And @RKOfan87 said: ‘Right there with everyone shedding tears. Amazing to see her walking. R.I.P. Jay Briscoe.’
In a police report following the tragic accident, it was revealed Briscoe wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time, when another drive swerved into his lane and hit their vehicle head-on.
