‘Omg this is so cute’ shoppers go wild for Primark’s ‘dress of the summer’ and it has a surprise back detail
IT can be difficult to find the perfect mix of cute and fruity, and sexy and spicy.
But it seems Primark has done just that, with an offering they’ve labelled the “dress of the summer”.

The store took to TikTok to share a look at the cute £14 number – a white strappy dress printed with images of cherries and chillis.
“PSA: we found THE dress of the summer,” they captioned the video.
The clip showed the dress from the front, drawing attention to the adjustable straps, mini length and bodice detail.
They then turned the dress around to show the back – arguably the sexiest part of the dress.
It features a cut-out with a tie at the top.
On the Primark website, they write of the dress: “Whether you want a sweet or a spicy summer, do it in style with this all-over patterned sundress!
“Made with a soft and lightweight fabric for a breezy feel, this dress boasts a gathered bodice panel for a milkmaid effect, dainty straps, a tie rear with a cutout detail at the waist, and a straight cut skirt for a casual feel, while the cherry and chilli print adds a touch of fun.
“Whether you dress it up with heeled sandals or style it casually with canvas trainers and a denim jacket, you’ll feel like a total snack!”
And people in the comments section of the video were quick to admit they’d be racing to stores to try and nab one of the dresses.
“OMG this is so cute!” one person wrote.
“I’m going Primark on Saturday,” another added.
“She cute!” a third commented.
“This is so cute, but why are there chillis?” someone else wondered.
With Primark replying: “Adds a little bit of spice”.
Others pointed out that the dress would be perfect for fans of Spanish racing driver Carlos Sainz, who has the nickname ‘Chilli’.
“This is for all the Carlos Sainz girlies,” one wrote, adding “if you know, you know”.
“I can already see all the Carlos sainz comments,” someone else said.
Why is Primark the place to go to for bargains?
JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it’s down to four points.
They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
They “do very little advertising”
While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.

As a third insisted that dress is “giving Carlos sainz”.
However, not everyone was a fan of the dress.
“Why so short?” one questioned.
“That’s so ugly,” another added.
While a third commented: “Please have one with just cherries!”
