A STYLIST has revealed the easy way to sell your clothes quickly and on Vinted to make some easy cash.
Lisa Talbot, an award-winning stylist from the UK took to her podcast, The Pocket Stylist, spilling her top secrets to using the app – and why you should never use it on a desktop.

With over 17-years of experience with styling women, she shared her best tips and tricks for using Vinted.
She said: “For a lot us, Vinted is very easy to use, you don’t have to worry about postage etc. etc.”
We all go through phases with the items in our wardrobes but if there’s something you never reach for anymore it might be time to say goodbye to it.
Lisa also says it’s a great way to get your money back on items you never returned but still have the tags on.
“If you’re not using it you might as well make some money out of them,” she said.
“I even have two clients who have made £1,000 out of items they’ve taken out and they both used Vinted.”
To make sure your items sell quickly, Lisa’s first tip was all to down to how they looked in the photos.
She recommended always using a coat hanger to hang them on rather than sprawling them on your bed or on the floor – which can make it look creased.
“Pop that item and the hanger on the back of the door so you have a blank canvas, take the photo of the front of the garment, the back and any additional detailing.. also take a picture of the label, of the brand,” she explained.
She added that you should take as many photos as possible, and to make sure the colour of the garment is accurate in the image is accurate to how it looks in real life.
The second tip from the personal stylist was to spend time on the description to make sure it’s seen.
Lisa said size, brand, colour and pattern were key details to get into the description so people searching for those terms will come across your item.
Add what kind of colour shade it is, if there’s any flaws, and what style it is.
Lisa added it was always best to use Vinted on your phone rather than a desktop as the user-face was much easier to navigate and offered drop down menus which made listing items quicker.

The only time that an item might be taxable is if it sells for more than £6,000 and there is profit (sells for more than you paid for it). Even then, you can use your capital gains tax-free allowance of £3,000 to offset it.
Generally, only business sellers trading for profit (buying goods with the purpose of selling for more than they paid for them) might need to pay tax. Business sellers who trade for profit can use a tax-free allowance of £1,000, which has been in place since 2017.

She added that when it comes to sending the package, all you need to do is select the size of the package and the delivery company.
There are several couriers to pick form on the app, and you can select which ones you want to use and are close to you.
For pricing, Lisa said you should be realistic on what to expect, and that you don’t need to sell it for too cheap.
Her fourth tip was to make sure you sit down and upload all of the items in one go to make sure you don’t miss any and make the process smother.
For instance, when her son was moving home, he wanted to get rid of some of his clothes and she managed to upload 50 items onto the site in just an hour.
