‘It’s crazy’ admits designer as Taylor Swift sells out another dress by Scottish brand and snaps up eight new pieces

A SCOTS designer has admitted life feels “crazy” right now after Taylor Swift snapped up more pieces from her clothing brand.

The Eras Tour singer, 34, was spotted rocking a green velvet frock from Perthshire-based fashion label Little Lies in New York at the start of the year.

The £58 Sweet Jane Crushed Mini Dress sold out within hours after Swifties figured out where it was from.

And it looks like it was just the beginning of Taylor’s love story with the Scottish company.

The global sensation, who has just completed three nights of her Eras Tour in Edinburgh, has since gone on to buy eight more items from Little Lies.

Co-founder Jade Robertson told the Scottish Daily Express: “If only every celebrity shopped with independent businesses it would make such a difference.

“She’s bought nine items from us, but I’ve only seen her wear two [including the green velvet dress].

“She was photographed wearing a slip dress in Singapore. It was black with dark purple… a velvet floral number.”

She added: “It’s the fact she not just discovered us, but she’s bought from us and then worn it.

“And to think she’s picked that [dress] out to take all the way to Singapore is just crazy, a little Scottish dress.”

The £88 Rooms on Fire Devore Slip Dress is available in sizes 8-24.

But unsurprisingly, it is completely sold out online with even pre-orders closed.

Jade previously spoke of her excitement about her brand’s billionaire fan.

She said: “We can’t believe it! I think we’re all still in a state of shock to be honest.

“To see one of the most recognisable people in the world wearing one of our designs is insane.

“We were already massive Taylor Swift fans and having her seal of approval means so much to us.”

Jade founded the award-winning, indie family business with her husband Stuart.

The pair started out with an online boutique based out of their bedroom, bringing together their love of music, style, and vintage.

Since its inception in 2015, Little Lies has drawn from core inspirations, building a strong brand image whilst staying true to their roots and gaining a loyal following in the process.

The brand’s influences are key muses and subcultures, as opposed to current trends, resulting in a product that is timeless and appealing to their customers’ personal style.

Designed in Perthshire, all styles are also inclusively available in UK sizes 8-24 and created in small, sustainable limited runs.

This ensures they don’t overproduce, creating minimal waste along with unique products.

With a focus on creating unique but timeless pieces that are different to what you find on the high street.

They aim to provide considered, quality garments you’ll take with you through life.
