Season 4 of Amazon Prime Video’s hit series The Boys returned with a bang on June 13, as one rather disturbing sex scene has caught the attention of fans.

The TV series is known for creating some rather graphic moments, like the exploding penis in season three and a sex scene between The Deep (a superhero played by Chace Crawford) and an octopus in the same season.

While the series isn’t afraid to push the envelope, fans think that the show has taken it one step further in season four episode two with a sex scene that has been likened to The Human Centipede.

The Human Centipede is a horror film which saw three kidnap victims being connected mouth to anus to form one digestive tract.

It is widely regarded as one of the most horrifying body horror films, and clearly the inspiration for one character in The Boys who wanted a freaky piece of this action and become a one-man human centipede.

In the episode, Frenchie and Kimiko, two key members of The Boys, investigate Splinter, a person with superhero powers that allow him to replicate himself.

The duo follow Splinter to a spa and when they open a sauna door, they discover that he has replicated himself six times and formed a sex chain.

Splinter is seen giving oral pleasure to his anus in six different position person as the version of himself at the front of the chain pleasures himself to a photo of the superhero Firecracker.

The explicit scene shocked fans who took to social media to share their ‘disgust’ at the creative scene.

‘The boys somehow made a worse version of human centipede I might be traumatized’, said Nevikyu.

JayKinda added: ‘Why tf is it a human centipede scene in The Boys.’

‘Sometimes The Boys kinds of lulls you into thinking it’s just a regular TV show and then BAM!: the most depraved s**t you ever seen in your life,’ joked Cowgirl_bebop.

Despite the shock surrounding this particular scene, fans are generally loving the fourth season of this show.

It has been somewhat bittersweet for fans as it was revealed just last week that The Boys would be coming to a close after season five.

Eric Kripke, the show creator, took to X to reveal: ‘#TheBoys Season 4 Premiere Week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the Final Season!

‘Always my plan, I just had to be cagey till I got the final OK from Vought. Thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax. Watch Season 4 in 2 DAYS, cause the end has begun!’

The Boys season four is available to view on Amazon Prime.
