‘Everyone needs one!’ Lisa Snowdon reveals her must-have autumn Primark buy for ‘looking stylish in the rain’
AS autumn approaches, it’s time to dust off our jackets.
From shapely bombers and shearling aviator coats, to more classic styles like leather Js and parkas, the colder season is a jacket lover’s dream.

But there’s one style to beat all when it comes to autumn fashion – and that’s the timeless trench coat.
Even British model Lisa Snowdon has endorsed the design this September.
The 52-year-old revealed that she thinks trenches are perfect for “looking stylish in the pouring rain”.
Lisa teamed up with fast fashion giant Primark to promote affordable trench coats.
On the brand’s Instagram story, she answered every British woman’s burning question as autumn approaches: “How to look stylish in the pouring rain?”
According to Lisa, “everyone needs a trench”.
A trench coat is a type of long, waterproof coat that originated in the 1820s and became staple military wear to protect soldiers from rain and harsh weather.
Overtime, the style has become a timeless classic – and every fashionista has one in their wardrobe.
Trenches typically feature double-breasting, a tailored cut and length that stretches below the knee.
The caped back allowed water to drip off, while designs with flaps at the shoulder provide ventilation.
Lisa specifically promoted Primark’s new Rita Ora Double-Breasted Hooded Mac, which costs £40.
The longline mac coat has a double-breasted front, hood and plaid lining.
“It’s beautiful,” This Morning presenter Lisa said.
“This one has got a hood as well, and it’s got cheque detail.

“It’s absolutely gorgeous.
“That’s £40 – and it feels and looks amazing.”
A blurb on the jacket reads: “If there’s one coat that exudes sophistication, it would be this Primark Presents Rita Ora mac.
“The hooded design and longline silhouette provide greater coverage from the elements.
“Meanwhile, the notched lapels, welted pockets and double-breasted front with tortoiseshell buttons complete the classic style.
“It’s complete with plaid lining for timeless appeal and a belted waist to flatter the figure.
“Coming in a neutral colourway, it’s the perfect option for pairing with your smart-casual wardrobe to unlock an elevated aesthetic.”
Why is Primark the place to go to for bargains?
JUST how does Primark do it? Continue delivering on-trend items at such incredible prices? According to bosses, it’s down to four points.
They “sell a lot of items” – Thanks to that, they are able to make savings by buying in bulk for their 191 UK stores
They “do very little advertising”
While their clothes offer the “latest trends”, they “don’t use expensive hangers, tags or labels”.
And lastly, they try to be “as efficient as possible when transporting products from factories to stores”. This includes things like asking “suppliers to pack our t-shirts so they are ready to go straight on shelf”.
